MY STORY

As an artist I wear many hats....actor, singer, dancer, writer, photographer, audiobook narrator, and podcast host.

I'm also a practicing teaching artist and spiritual artist, as well as a mom to a teenage son, a tabby cat named Scooter, and a pug named Albert.

A classically trained stage actor with a background in acting, voice, dialects, stage combat, dance, Shakespeare, and performance, I’m drawn to subject matter that focuses on social justice issues, and characters with courage, strength, and empathy. 

I am passionate about mental health, and stories of survival which led me to write and perform “I COULD NOT SPEAK IT”. You can learn more about this on my Solo Show page.  

I’ve been described as funny and intense... 

A single mom, I set aside the majority of my career goals to raise my son. But now that he's older the focus has shifted. Doors are opening to new possibilities as I’ve begun creating my own work. 

Roles I tap into most easily are characters in positions of influence. Think judge, teacher, attorney, and mom. I am equally at home in an intense high stakes drama as I am in the throws of an intelligent comedy playing humor and wit with a penchant for sarcasm. I love to play comedic characters. Think Friends, The Office, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, and Superstore. And on a side note, I'm a huge sci-fi nerd - Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel's Agents of Shield and the list goes on.

Originally from Rochester, NY the birth place of several famous actors and comedians - Kristen Wiig, Taye Diggs, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robert Forster, John Lithgow - I grew up performing first in my mother’s kitchen. I would spend hours in the attic perfecting these mini productions. I sang in the church choir, played snare drum in the marching band, and studied at Hochstein Music School. I graduated high school from Nazareth Academy and went on to earn a BFA in Theatre from Niagara University. 

I’ve performed across many stages in Upstate NY and Arizona including Blackfriars Theatre, Artpark, and Tempe Center for the Arts. I started blogging in 2009 and then created a podcast called Living the Dream Acting. But the work I am most proud of so far is my one person show currently in development for the live stage.
